Canada China Business Council Launches Business Incubation Centre in Calgary

The Canada China Business Council has launched a new Business Incubation Centre (BIC) in Calgary, Alberta. The Centre provides newly arrived Chinese enterprises in the province of Alberta with an affordable and low-risk presence as they establish themselves in the province and execute on their Canadian business strategy. The Incubation Centre in Calgary is CCBC’s fourth. CCBC already operates BICs in Shanghai, Beijing and Montreal.

The Incubation Centre offers a diverse range of professional services to its occupants that include mentoring on how to refine their Canadian business strategy based on local market dynamics and ensuring a smooth transition into Alberta.

“Over the years our BICs have successfully helped many Canadian and Chinese companies with not only entering their respective markets efficiently, but also using them as launch pads to expand their businesses” says Sarah Kutulakos, Executive Director of the CCBC. “Companies that have graduated from our BICs have consistently recommended the centres and their services to other new market aspirants in China and Canada”.

The Incubation Centre in Calgary offers its occupants both workspaces and meeting rooms at the Global Business Centre and an opportunity to establish connections in the market. Other professional services offered by the BIC staff include market data and business development tools.

“The Global Business Centre serves as a launching pad to increase international trade and business activity, and as a landing pad to attract new investment and business growth to the Region”, says Mary Moran, President and CEO, Calgary Economic Development. “Providing these services to CCBC further extends our relationship and ultimately makes Calgary stronger and more prosperous.”
