Canada Ranks Number 1 for Quality of Life in 2019

Canada once again finishes high on the global scale of best countries in the world.  This time, U.S. News and World Report teamed up with BAV Group and the Wharton School of Business to rank the top countries based on surveying 20,000 global citizens and business decision-makers about issues of trade, investment, travel and over 70 additional attributes.

Canada not only topped the charts in quality of life, it ranked third best country overall, behind only Switzerland and Japan. Canada also ranked third overall for education and ranked as the third best country for women (this ranking was chosen by the 9,000 women surveyed and comprised five equally weighted attributes: care about human rights, gender equality, income equality, progress and safety).

Most Canadians will tell you Canada is the best country in the world and while it may not be perfect, it remains one of the safest, most democratic, free and tolerant nations in the world.  Combine that with friendly people, great cities and towns, and some of the world’s most spectacular natural beauty and Canada is hard to beat.

According to U.S. News and World Report, Best Countries is a rankings, news and analysis project created to capture how countries are perceived on a global scale. The rankings evaluate 80 countries across 24 rankings drawn from a survey of more than 20,000 global citizens, measuring 75 dimensions that have the potential to drive trade, travel and investment and directly affect national economies.
