Calgary Named Best Place to Live among Large Cities

According to MoneySense magazine, Calgary is Canada’s most liveable large city in 2013, jumping from its rank of 12th in 2012.  Sunny skies, employment opportunities, a strong economy and a dynamic housing market all contribute to Calgary’s appeal for metropolitan living.

Calgary is also an hour from the spectacular Rocky Mountains, Banff National Park, Kanananskis Country and Canmore, the tenth best small city in Canada.  These four-season destinations for sports and recreation enthusiasts add to Calgarians’ reputation for working hard and playing hard.   The largest city in Alberta also ranked number one city in which to raise children and the third best place for immigrants settling in Canada.
