Calgary and Toronto Rank High in Scorecard on Prosperity

In its seventh annual edition of the Scorecard on Prosperity, the Toronto Region Board of Trade (the Board) measured and assessed the economy and labour attractiveness of the Toronto Census Metropolitan Area (CMA) against 23 other metropolitan areas around the globe.  Canada’s largest city, Toronto, has ranked consistently among world leaders in labour attractiveness since its first edition in 2009. In this latest edition, Toronto ranked fifth overall.

Calgary, Alberta was ranked as the highest Canadian city, reaching third behind Paris and Stockholm.  Calgary is Alberta’s largest city with a population over 1 million and a reputation as Canada’s energy centre.

The full report, including details about these two dynamic cities, can be found at the Toronto Region Board of Trade website.
